Veronika Berger
(Anikó Mezei)
a singer of Hungarian
origin who participated in the Hungarian
Dance-song Festival and was the soloist of the Moulin
Rouge in Budapest. A shooting was made about the revue
by the BBC, RAI and the Greek TV.
She gave concerts all over the world. She was the soloist of the
biggest European womens
orchestra, which consisted of 18 members, and which accompanied
the most popular French singers like Mirelle Matthio and Johnny
Holliday.
She participated in the Südwestfunk
programme of the German TV2, in the programmes of the Italian
TV2 and TV3, and won a singing competition in Vibo Valenzia in the
jazz category. The competition was run by Daniele Piombi
with the participation of Lando Buzzanca.
She sang in the well-known Bussola
Club in Viareggio, and in Alassio in the Roof
Garden, together with Pippo
Baudo, Beppe Grillo, Don Lurio and the Platters,
and sang in the First Festival of Italian Composers in San
Remo.
She is the mother of the popular escape artist, David
Merlini.
She gave her last concerts on ships,
and currently runs music evenings in Italy and sings in discos,
piano-bars and hotels.
As a secondary occupation she is the therapist of paediatrical neuropsychology
and the specialist of psycho-motorism.
During the school year she runs courses for children and teachers
about the musical psycho-motorism elaborated by herself, which combines
the methods of Kodály and Orff with psycho-motorism, as well
as with her own artistic experience.
Apart from teaching the participants the basic elements of solmization,
she promotes the positive development of their range of expression
and contact building ability.
